Who is responsible

This website is run for 3adan (عدن), a Lebanese fresh-kale brand. For any question about your personal data, call or message us on WhatsApp at +961 3 900 344 (open WhatsApp), or use our contact form.

In short

  • We collect only what you choose to send through a form, plus basic technical data kept by our hosting provider for security.
  • We use your details to reply to you — and send recipe updates only if you asked for them.
  • No analytics cookies are set unless you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • Your shopping list and recipe checklist stay in your own browser.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What you send us through forms

The site has a few short forms. You decide what to send, and we use it only for the purpose shown below.

Fields a form may ask for

  • Name
  • Phone or WhatsApp number
  • Email address — optional, and used only for the recipe-updates opt-in
  • City or area
  • Business name and type (business inquiries)
  • Estimated weekly demand (business inquiries)
  • Your message

Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health details, in your message.

Where your form data goes

When you submit a form, your details are delivered to 3adan’s configured inbox, and/or passed through an automated connection (a “webhook”) to a business tool chosen by 3adan, and/or saved in a private file store on the server that hosts the website.

Protecting the forms from spam

To keep the forms usable, we use three simple measures: a hidden “honeypot” field that visitors don’t see but automated bots tend to fill in; checks on how quickly a form is submitted; and a limit on how many submissions can come from the same IP address in a short time. For that limit, your IP address is processed only temporarily in the server’s memory.

How long we keep it

Our proposed rule is simple: we keep form data no longer than needed to handle your inquiry. If you opt in to recipe updates, we keep your contact details until you ask us to stop.

Server logs and hosting

Like most websites, the server that hosts www.3adan.com records basic technical details of each visit: IP address, browser “user agent” (browser and device type), date and time, and the address of the page requested. The hosting provider keeps these access logs for security purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a measurement service provided by Google, only if 3adan has switched it on and you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner. If you decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set.

Your choice itself is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Details are in our cookie policy.

Features that stay on your device

  • Shopping list and recipe checklist: stored only in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is sent to our server. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
  • Retailer maps: the OpenStreetMap map loads only after you click “Load map”. Until then, your browser does not contact the map service; once you load it, OpenStreetMap receives the technical data needed to show the map, such as your IP address.
  • Fonts: our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser makes no request to Google Fonts.

WhatsApp, phone and other links

WhatsApp and phone links open services run by third parties. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and its own privacy terms apply when you message us there; calls are subject to your phone operator’s terms. Links to other websites, such as the official sources we cite, are governed by those websites’ own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it (objection). You can also withdraw your consent to recipe updates or analytics at any time. To make a request, call or message us on WhatsApp at +961 3 900 344, or use the contact form. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you.

Applicable law

In Lebanon, the framework most likely to apply is Law No. 81 of 10 October 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. If you are in the European Union, you may also have rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Our forms are not directed at children under 13, and children under 13 should not send us personal data. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us so we can delete them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever the way the site handles personal data changes, and revise the “last updated” date.
